Sports For Development
Since 2008, Sudhaar has been implementing sports for development programs through nearly 6 short and long-term projects. The organization’s goal is to promote gender equality, children’s rights, and the importance of education through sports especially using football as a tool. By emphasizing organized sports as part of holistic child development, Sudhaar aims to foster positive growth and reconciliation among youth. Sports for Development and Peace (S4DP) is seen as a highly impactful tool for youth development and reconciliation.
Sudhaar envisions an educational system where youth can access enriching intercultural networks, engage in experiential learning, and foster social exchange. This system promotes collaboration on individual and institutional levels, such as schools and local sports clubs. By building relations and increasing social mobility, the organization aims to create new livelihood opportunitiesS within the region. Through access to social media and intercultural exchange, youth can develop valuable competencies, enhancing their employability. Ultimately, this vision seeks to create opportunities for all, reducing the vulnerability of young people and the pressure to emigrate.
