Sports For Development
Sudhaar has been working on the theme of sports for development since early 2008 with the implementation of almost six short and long term projects. The overall goal and focus of Sudhaar to ensure gender equality, children rights and highlight the importance of education in terms of children participation in games and of organised sports as part of the holistic development of children.Sports-For-Development-and-Peace (S4DP) is one of the most – if not the most – impactful and scalable developmental tool in the areas of youth development and reconciliation.
The vision of the organization that youth grows up within an educational system that provides access to enriching intercultural networks which engages experiential learning formats, fosters social exchange, encounter and promotes mixed project teams on individual and institutional levels (e.g. schools, local sports clubs). Social exchange and trade increases, new livelihood opportunities are created from within the region by improving the relations; social mobility, access to social media, intercultural and international exchange allow to develop informal competencies and foster employability. These changes create perspectives in the region for all and diminish the vulnerability of the young generations and the pressure to adopt a course of emigration.
