On-Going Projects

1. "Inclusivity Through Diversity: Promoting Minority Rights in Pakistan" Project (District Faislabad) (January 16, 2025 to June 15, 2027)

The “Inclusivity Through Diversity: Promoting Minority Rights in Pakistan” project, led by the Trust for Democratic Education and Accountability (TDEA) in collaboration with six civil society organizations, targets 13 districts in Sindh and Punjab with significant minority populations. Sudhaar is implementing the project in two districts; Faisalabad and Sialkot Punjab Province. This action addresses the pressing needs of religious minorities by leveraging local partnerships that are grounded in each (civil society) partner’s established relationships and trust within these communities. This approach enables immediate, responsive engagement with local stakeholders and fosters long-term collaboration, enhancing programmatic impact and community empowerment.

2. Public Schools Reorganization Programs (PSRP-II) (Tehsil Chistian and Frotabbas, District Bahawalnagar) (July 16, 2026 to onwards)

Sudhaar Society is implementing Public School Reorganization Programs (PSRP-II) in district Bahawalnagar with the support of Punjab Education Foundation (PEF). Under the PSRP II, The Punjab Education Foundation and School Education Department handed over the management of 26 Public Schools from Tehsil Chistian and Fortabass district Bahawalnagar to Sudhaar Society to bring necessary improvements, better managerial oversight, management practices and improved teaching and learning methods in the school to ensure quality and healthier education to the children in the schools.

3. Community Engagement and Outreach (District Lahore, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Multan and Karachi) (June 01, 2024 to May 31, 2026)

Sudhaar is implementing a project, “Community Engagement and Outreach” with the support GIZ Pakistan. The project, through the Community Engagement & Outreach strategy provides the overarching framework for undertaking community mobilization at the industry, community, and societal levels through the project. The key principles of this intervention are to simultaneously mobilize individuals, families, and communities, enhancing the employment and employability of women and people with disabilities (PWDs) in Pakistan’s textile and fashion industries.

The project “Community Engagement and Outreach” will work directly with at least 3500 Women and 200 people with disabilities (PWDs) at Lahore, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Multan Punjab and Karachi Sindh, mobilizing them, forming them into functioning groups, and connecting them with a range of services and resources (markets, skills development, and employment opportunities etc.) with textile and fashion industries. Efforts will also be made to train these women to maintain a mobile financial wallet for which linkage will be established with the relevant service providers and private sector.

4. Safe, Free and Effective Media (SAFE Media) project (District Sialkot) (November 15, 2025 – April 15, 2026)

Sudhaar Society with the support of Trust for Democratic Education and Accountability (TDEA) is implementing the Safe, Free and Effective Media (SAFE Media) project in district Sialkot. Sudhaar Society implement a series of activities designed to strengthen government transparency and availability of government information prerequisite for countering disinformation and contribute towards creating an enabling environment for journalists where they can perform their responsibilities without the fear of arbitrary punitive measures journalists. The activities includes Website Compliance Review (RTI Assessment), orientation and capacity building of district Public Information Officers (PIOs), consultation with local journalists, Public Awareness and Outreach (Panel Discussions & Webinars), Research Consolidation, Documentation, and Presentation of Findings, and Technical Support to District Administration.

5. Digital Voices - Empowering Marginalized Youth through Digital Literacy, Peer Learning, and Civic Engagement Project (District Sialkot) (December 26, 2025 to March 10, 2026)

Sudhaar Society is implementing project, Digital Voices – Empowering Marginalized Youth through Digital Literacy, Peer Learning, and Civic Engagement with the support of Accountability Lab in district Sialkot. Digital Voices aims to equip marginalized youth in Sialkot District with digital literacy, civic engagement skills, and collaborative problem solving capacities. The project will engage 60 youth from underrepresented groups including women, rural youth, ethnic and religious minorities, and low income neighborhoods identified through schools, colleges, community organizations, and youth networks. Over three months, the project will engage 60 participants in a series of structured activities aimed at enhancing digital literacy, fostering collaboration, and amplifying youth voices in local governance and community development. The activities includes; Selection and Orientation of Participants, Peer Learning Sessions, Digital Skills Development, Community Issue Identification and Analysis, Youth Led Digital Advocacy, Advocacy Event with Local Authorities and Civil Society, and Establishment of a Sustainable Youth Network
