Livelihood

In Pakistan’s public sector institutions, there is a lack of formal career guidance or planning systems for students. To address this gap, the International Rescue Committee (IRC) launched the Career Development Counseling Services project under the FATA Development Program-Livelihood Development (FDP-LD), partnering with Sudhaar to provide students with much-needed career support and guidance.

Achievements

Sudhaar implemented a career development program for scholarship students, which included:

1.    Developing 12 Career Counselling and Life Skills modules.

2.    Conducting orientation sessions for 297 students in 6 institutes.

3.    Organizing 135 training sessions for 243 scholarship students, as well as additional sessions for 22 graduates and 49 non-scholarship students.

4.    Hosting 4 Job Fairs in Peshawar and Dera Ismail Khan, attracting over 30 employers.

5.    Facilitating the collection of nearly 250 CVs by employers, with some offering internships.

6.    Creating a database to track scholarship students’ progress and outcomes.
