Gender Equity

Though gender inclusion is key cross-cutting theme for all projects by Sudhaar, but there were also 02 direct projects with support of Aurat Foundation under USAID-GEP. GBVs survivors were target audience in these projects whose life skills were improved. Sudhaar believe in equal opportunity for women so that they can join development shoulders with their counterpart men.

Women play a key role in the society since not only they are a source of nourishment for sons and daughters they give birth to but also a pillar of values and discipline in the early years of a child. Unfortunately in Pakistan, the importance to women is ignored, subdued, and even ridiculed. Over the years, Sudhaar has played a crucial role in an attempt to change this perspective towards women by working in sectors such as women education, gender based violence, and women rights in general. Plenty of gender awareness and equality programs have been conducted by Sudhaar; and where we get a chance to work with children, we start instilling the significance of women at an early age.

Sudhaar has huge expertise’s/experience in implementing and with its initial focus of addressing child labor and specialized its priority area of focusing education quality. Sudhaar began to diversify its range of intervening sectors. The scope of work began to expand in various sectors including gender and women empowerment.  The organization cater approximately 10 years of experience on women empowerment with implementation of almost 6 projects on gender equity, women rights and empowerment.
