Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)

Since 2009, Sudhaar has been actively involved in implementing water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) initiatives. With support from partners like Association for Development of Pakistan (ADP), The Asia Foundation, and UNICEF, Sudhaar has successfully implemented 5 WASH projects. The organization has gained valuable experience in promoting WASH activities in schools, engaging communities, teachers, and children in these efforts. The key achievements are as follows;

  • Installation of 12 deep boreholes in selected schools;
  • Vigilance steps in 1200 schools to protect and manage water sources;
  • Development of Training Manual/Material;
  • Capacity Building of 2400 School Teachers; Capacity Building of 300 AEOs, MEAs, and School Health & Nutrition Supervisors;
  • Capacity Building of 1200 School Councils on their roles and responsibilities along with WES project;
  • Formation of 1200 Children Health Clubs;
  • Development of 1200 School Environment and Improvement Plans;
  • Celebration of 18 events on Global Hand Washing Day.
